The Kyokujitsu Kenjutsu-Kai is an exciting club in South Bristol, founded by Sensei Martin Skidmore, and Sensei Dave Hayward, both sensei have over 45yrs martial arts experience between them.
Our New Dojo is in Bridge Farm Primary School, Meadow Building, Bristol (Thurs 8pm-9pm) and is affiliated to the B.K.A. For info on this, see our links page.

We Teach Zenshin-do style of Kenjutsu, a kata based system and have incorporated the following into the system;
Suburi & Ashisabaki; sword drills and footwork drills,
Zenshin-do Katas
Kumitachi go-ken waza - Partnered Bokken drills
Batto-jutsu - drawing techniques
Tamishigiri- Test cutting (1st kyu & dan grade level)

Would you like to learn Japanese Swordsmanship?
Learn the skills of the Samurai and improve your awareness, concentration and self discipline. Perhaps you have already tried Karate or similar and it wasn't right for you. Both our instructors are now qualified to teach this fantastic martial art and classes in Kenjutsu have now started, but anyone can join at anytime.
